We are happy to announce the hire of a new instructor: Tracy Fleming. Tracy Fleming comes to us with over 25 years of experience teaching Public School Driver’s Education and private Driver’s Education teaching. Some of the districts in which he taught were Aiken, Allendale, and Bamberg. He was a board member for the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association. Tracy holds a B.A. in Physical Education from Erskine College and Master of Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy. Tracy has already shown himself to have good rapport with students, parents, and his co-workers. Welcome Tracy to the Auto-Safe team.
We recently had a student finish our program that was a second generation student. Cooper Smith a Hampton Park Christian School student pictured below passed his road test recently. His mom Michelle also pictured below is a former student of our founder James Collins.
Auto-Safe has been in business since 1989 and is locally owned and operated and now has been serving two generations of drivers to make our upstate roads safer.
Our location for classroom has changed. We are now conducting classes at the Cambria Hotel at 135 Carolina Point Parkway Greenville, SC 29607.

We are pleased to announce that Lance Collins was awarded the 2020 Commercial Teacher of the Year award by the American Automobile Association (AAA) Carolinas and the South Carolina Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (SCDTSEA). Lance has been a teacher at Auto-Safe since 2003. He has taught classroom since 2003 and is certified to teach AAA’s Driver Improvement Program. He has taught behind the wheel since 2005. He became the main classroom teacher in 2012 at the retirement of his father James and has been doing testing since 2013. He became an owner of Auto-Safe in 2018 and is Vice President handling educational, testing, and fleet operations.
